Q: I received a plate, what do I do next?

A: This is the fun part, go to our registration page to track it. You will be required to set up an account by providing an email address and by creating a unique password that you will remember. If you placed the order then you are the original owner, thank you and congratulations for helping in our journey to cultivate kindness.


Q: What if the plate breaks after I receive it?

A: We have a lifetime replacement policy. Here’s how it works, send us picture (jpg image) of broken plate, with the registration #, along with your name and shipping address to janine@mytravelingplate.com . We will than replace the plate of equal value (sorry some designs are irreplaceable, but we will do our best to send something similar to the original design), you will be responsible to pay the shipping charges. Please allow 3-4 weeks for replacement to be shipped.


Q: I received my order damaged, what should I do?

A: Oh NO! How disappointing that must be, we urge you to Contact us immediately at janine@mytravelingplate.com to let us know in order for us to replace that order.


Q: I ordered two of the same designs, but they look slightly different.

A: Each of our plates are hand painted and because of this variation may occur.


Q: Is shipping and handling free?

A: No, shipping costs are not free.


Q: If I return my order will I be reimbursed for shipping?

A: Only the cost of the actual item will be refunded.


Q: What are the prices for a class?

A: Two-hour home painting demonstrations are offered, we request a minimum of 5 guests and not to exceed 30 people. The cost per person is $20.


Q: What if I do not have a 5 guest minimum?

A: If you do not have the 5 person requirement then you will be charged for how many people are missing, at $20 per person. For every $20 you may paint an additional plate.


Q: Will my plate be dry by the end of the night?

A: Yes, the paint dries quickly.


Q: At what time should I have my guests arrive?

A: Fifteen to thirty minutes would be plenty of lead time.


Q: May I serve food?

A: Yes


Q: Will you supply the food?

A: No


Q: What do I wear?

A: Whatever is comfortable and you don't mind if a little paint gets on it.


Q: How do I book a party?

A: We do require reservations with payment to secure seats and we require a 24 hour cancellation.


Q: How many people can I invite?

A: Including yourself, we can accommodate up to 30 people. Please be sure you have ample table space for your guests.


Q: What size is the plate?

A: We offer 8 – 9 ½ inch porcelain plates. All plates are bright white.


Q: Is there an age limit?

A: As we love children we find that it is best that they are at a minimum of 8 years of age. So, 8 years or older is ideal.


Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Refund or store credit will be given for individuals canceling with at least 24 hours’ notice. "No shows" will not be issued store credit or refunds. For refund policy not pertaining to Parties please see our returns and refunds page.


MyTravelingPlate reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be notified at least 24 hours prior to class time and refunds will be processed. If we need to cancel rest assure full refunds will be issued.

Home Demonstrations

Cost: $20 per person

Duration: 2 hours

Location: Currently available in **Limited South Jersey area.

Our demonstrations are more like a celebration! We get to celebrate with each guest that you host. We provide the materials which include the paint markers, porcelain plates, and creative encouragement. You and your guests will create an original design, anything you want and for those that may need some inspiration we will provide that too!

Each plate will be given a registration number unique for each of your guests. The plates will be brought back into our location to go through our special set processing. From there they will have their own photo shoot, that's our fancy way of saying that each plate will be registered in order to be beautifully displayed and tracked. Finally, the finished product will be worthy to be added to our community of ‘My Traveling Plate’ and returned to the hostess' location.

We know not everyone likes to give away their plates and that's okay, we still give the plate a registration number. If you are anything like us we often pass it along in our circle of friends, knowing we will get it back. It's fun to see how far your special designed plate travels as well as keeping it for yourself.

Each hostess is given a special gift just for having us, that is our way of saying thank you for sharing in our vision, to cultivate kindness. As a hostess you also will paint your plate for free and for every *ten paying guests that attend your party we will give away a gift. Not only do you receive a special gift, so will one of your guests.

*For one of every ten paying guests a gift will be given, so every 5-10 guests, one gift. For every 20 paying guests, two gifts. And you guessed it, for 30 paying guests, three gifts will be given away.
